Welcome to Ground Level. This online exhibition features a series of recent paintings created in response to the flora and landscape of the National Forest of East Staffordshire. During the exhibition I also created an installation artwork titled ‘Claiming Space’, a life-size drawing of a bramble in charcoal which I ‘grew’ across the gallery wall over the course of the exhibition. In time, ‘Claiming Space’ will be removed, but in the meantime it has been developed and expanded by the A level art students as part of their studies.
